Attributed to Frederick Mortimer Lamb (1861-1936), a Massachusetts based artist best known for landscapes, dogs, horses and portraits. He was born in Middleboro and studied at the Massachusetts Normal Art School and the Acadamie Julian in Paris. He was a member of various regional artist clubs including the Boston Society for Water Color Painters.
Attached note onback stating "painting attributed to Frederick Morton Lamb". Handwriting on back appears to read Elizabeth Ann Ross Etton, or Elizabeth and Ross Etton.
